About the Conversion Directory
ConvertX covers the formats people actually exchange between devices, websites, and design tools. Inputs include PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, TIFF, TIF, and SVG; outputs cover the same set except SVG, which is an input-only vector format. The directory deliberately lists only these formats — formats like HEIC, ICO, RAW, DNG, PSD, or BMP are not supported here.
JPG and JPEG share the same JPEG encoder, and TIFF and TIF share the same TIFF encoder, so converting between those pairs is instant. Links such as JPEG to JPG and TIF to TIFF simply handle the extension change for you.
Directory Questions
Which conversions are available?
Every source format (PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, TIFF, TIF, SVG) can be converted to every output format (PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, TIFF, TIF), except converting a format to itself. That gives 64 different conversion tools.
Why are there both JPG and JPEG pages?
JPG and JPEG are the same format with different extensions. Both pages exist because people search for both names, and each page is tuned for the name it targets.
Why are there both TIFF and TIF pages?
TIFF and TIF are the same format under two extensions. Both pages exist for the same reason as JPG/JPEG — search behavior differs even though the files do not.
Can SVG files be converted?
Yes, SVG is supported as an input format. It is rasterized safely on the server so you can download a pixel-based PNG, JPG, WebP, or another raster format.
Do all conversions run in my browser?
No. The heavy lifting happens on the server with an image processing library. Your browser handles the upload, settings, and download, which keeps the page fast.
